Media Type: Pen and Ink
Art Type: Splash Page
Artists: Bill Ward All

Bill Ward (as McCartney) Cracked Complete 1-page Story "The Visitor in Africa" Original Art (Major Magazines, undated).

This Bill Ward laugh-riot from an unidentified issue has an image area of 11" x 14", and the art is in Very Good condition.

Ward, Bill: William "Bill" Ward (American, 1919-1998) was a Golden, Silver, and Bronze Age cartoonist celebrated as one of the most widely published "good girl" artists, and as creator of the comic book ingénue, Torchy. Ward also worked on Blackhawk for Quality Comics, and later, using the pen name of Bill McCartney, he worked for Cracked magazine. His later work for numerous men's magazines such as Humorama, Leg Show, and others became more and more erotic, and eventually veered into outrageously outré territories.
