Original hand-drawn artwork from the Sherlock Holmes comic strip drawn and published in 1956. this is all original art, not a print, poster or fake production art. this piece of American History was published by the NY Herold Tribune syndicate on June 24th 1956.
The strip is credited to Frank Giacoia but the strips were pencilled by either Gil Kane, Mike Sekowsky, Carmine Infantino. and inked by Frank Giacoia and Joe Giella. All comic veterans. this one looks like it was penciled by either Sekowsky or Infantino.
The last panel with the portrait of Holmes smoking his pipe is amazing. WOW!
