Steve "Shotgun" Smith enforces a tough line on Gotham pushers, but Batman suspects that he may be taking kickbacks.
Years ago, Steve "Shotgun" Smith was allegedly "the toughest cop in Gotham" (this was before Harvey Bullock joined the GCPD), a man with rough edges but a good heart. Smith was eventually accused of corruption and had to leave the force, but returned to public service as a county sheriff. Smith now has as his partner a young police officer partner Cissy Chambers.
Where the two have occasionally worked alongside Tim Drake. "Shotgun" is a widow and father of a teenage daughter named Maryanne.
