Visiting the old Wayne summer home, Batman reflects on the happy times that he spent there with his parents. Coming across his parents ashes, Batman suddenly gets possessed by the ghost of Manuel, the islands old Port-A-Gee who died 50 years ago. Each night the same incident happens, where Batman is possessed by the ghost and causes trouble on the island.

Calling the Flash for help, the two travel to the spirit world and learn that Manuel is plotting to bring all the spirits to new bodies in the realm of the living. Flash and Batman soon find the source of Manuel's possession ability: A black diamond carved into the shape of the Egyptian life goddess, which was hidden in the urn containing the Waynes' ashes. Smashing the urn open, and having the Flash throw the diamond into space, Batman thwarts Manuel's plot to possess the living with souls of the dead.
