Cool Lines Artwork announces special guest for San Diego Comic-Con, July 23 to 27 2025... Booth #5112 - #5118 Hall G...
- BOB BURDEN -
BOB BURDEN is selling his private artwork at our San Diego Comic-Con booth
We are quite pleased to announce that we will have a special visit from Eisner Award winning artist and creator Bob Burden (Flaming Carrot Comics, Mysterymen, Gumby and occasional TMNT) signing at our SDCC booths #5112 through 5118 (in Hall G, overlooking Artists Alley) on Thursday and Saturday at 3 PM both days
He will be bringing some interesting original artworks with him, both his and some from other artists, for both sale and display. As an incorrigible art collector and convention aficionado Bob has accumulated a number of interesting pieces by other artists over the years, including
- Todd McFarlane’s brilliant and historical TMNT/Flaming Carrot cover from #27...
- A number of David Boswell pages from the Reid Fleming/Flaming Carrot crossover...
- A number of choice Dan Clowes pages (including the first ten pages from EIGHTBALL’S seminal Velvet Glove Cast in Iron story.
As a pioneering vanguard of the 1980s New Wave comics revolution, the historical significance of Burden’s influential and ground-breaking Flaming Carrot Comics remains legendary to this day. Re-introducing retro marketing traditions such as variant covers, #0 comics, artist’s con-souvenir booklets, and the use of Ash Kan editions to promote new projects, Burden blazed an amusing, whimsical and often piping-hot trail across the early days of comic fandom and the Direct Market. Besides displaying and selling a few choice artworks, Burden will be signing anything (except checks and money orders) for $25, however youths under 12 and anyone who says the magic words (please & thank you) will not have to pay for signatures at all.
Also the first 10 to show up with get an autographed con-book form a recent convention that featured the first appearance of an all-new, never before seen Bob Burden Mysteryman, Honkus Aurelius
