BYRNE, JOHN / AUSTIN - Uncanny X-Men #137 last pg, censored Jean Grey lives!

Marvel editor-in-chief Jim Shooter raised the objection that Phoenix had killed billions and should not live. So, a new ending was rushed out to kill Jean Grey. This and a few other other censored "Jean Lives" pages was pulled and later published, as it did later 1984's Phoenix... The Untold Story #1. This page has all of the new X-Men plus Angel, Beast, and the Imperial Guard, as well as the Watcher and the Recorder. This page is signed by Austin in panel two and by Byrne in the lower border.
