Artists: Reed Crandall All Hit Comics (1940) #62 Published Jan 1950 by Quality Cover pencils and inks by Reed Crandall 13 page Jeb Rivers story "Emperor Thraill" Hit Comics #1 and National Comics #1 both debuted in July 1940, giving Quality Comics five anthologies -- one fewer than DC had at the time -- and plenty of opportunity for Reed Crandall and other fine artists to strut their stuff. Crandall's rendition of riverboat gambler Jeb Rivers takes center stage in this gorgeous cover illustration. The image area measures 13.5" x 19". The art has its original title type and masthead paste-ups, and is in Excellent condition.
