After defeating the Lizard People's giant warrior serpent, Ms. Marvel (future Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers) strikes a deal with their leader, Aracht'yr: she will keep their existence a secret in exchange for the release of his human hostages. Once the bargain is made, Danvers returns home -- only to find a baby iguana and a note that reads, "We have placed our future in your hands."
